Tech Talk
Do I need to reuse my OEM bump stop?
In some shock absorbers or strut assemblies you will be requested to reuse your OEM bump stop. In some instances we may have a new bump stop provided (in many of those instances, the bump stop is internal and not visible). It is always best to review the installation instructions that come with your product. We will either explicitly state that the OEM bump stop will be used/transferred, or that a new one will be needed. A visual representation will be shown with a diagram of the shock or strut in question highlighting the OEM bump stop being needed in the new part.
